Lori L. Johndrow
Partner & Financial Advisor
AIF®, CLU®, ChFC®, LUTCF®, CFS®, Retirement Income Certified Professional®
A pioneer in an ever-changing industry
Over the past 3 decades, her career evolved, as did the industry. Lori is passionate about empowering others with a sense of financial literacy. Her curiosity led her to continue to build on her knowledge, acquiring the certifications necessary to establish herself in finance. This was a natural progression from her background in life insurance, where she had met with success and established a large client base, particularly from Aetna.
Placing value on ethics & education
Lori values education for herself, her team and her clients. She has organized and presented hundreds of financial education seminars across the country at major corporations and universities, including a series of presentations designed to help women create and manage wealth. Inspired and energized by the prospect of helping others in a profound and tangible manner, Lori continues to add to her knowledge of finance and recently acquired her Retirement Income Certified Professional® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designations.
When acting in a fiduciary capacity, Lori is legally and ethically bound to act in her client’s best interest.
Will I outlive my money?
The number one concern of retirees is running out of money. As we all live longer, it becomes possible we may spend more years in retirement than we have spent working. Because of this, Lori became a Retirement Income Certified Professional® through a 2- year course focused entirely on creating lasting wealth for a lifetime. Income streams that won’t stop and assets that won’t be depleted over your lifetime are essential to ensuring you have the retirement of your dreams.
Wind in her sails
When she is not in the office, Lori is a novice photographer who routinely gets behind the camera to capture her travels with her husband, Dave. Always up for adventures large and small, Lori and Dave are avid sailors and frequent travelers whose recent journeys include Italy, Ireland, Austin, and Key West. Lori is passionate about giving back to the community. Each year she participates in the Petit Family Foundation 5K walk/run and in Commonwealth Cares projects such as painting the Dougherty Arts Center in downtown Austin, TX. For many years, Lori served on the Board of St. Paul Catholic High School and the Women’s Council at her previous broker-dealer. Her passion for education was clearly inherited by Lori’s two children: her son, Chris, is a newly minted PhD scientist from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and her daughter, Kaitlin, earned her BA with the highest honors in art history from UNC Chapel Hill. Most recently, Lori has picked up yoga and Tai Chi practices and seeks to bring this peaceful energy to her client meetings (especially during volatile markets!).
