What do you think Johndrow Wealth Management can best help clients with?

There are very few firms that view things from a holistic approach and truly cover all facets of someone’s life.  At JWM, they’re able to not only help plan your future but protect it as well.  Whether it’s helping to safeguard your nest egg from an extended care situation, planning your retirement income strategies, or choosing the most appropriate Medicare plan, we can help with all of it.

I recognize that you can’t be good at everything- no one wants a jack of all trades and master of none.  That’s why they take a team approach and work as specialists in our respective areas of expertise.

Why work with Johndrow Wealth Management?

Dealing with a wealth manager or insurance agent can feel intimidating at times.  There may be a different set or jargon used, new concepts, or simply a desire to ensure you make the right decisions for you and your family. I make sure to speak using plain English and easily understandable terms and concepts. I work with clients as partners and through an interactive way to involve them in the process while making them comfortable. In the end, I want them to understand ‘the why’ of what we do and see the value we bring.

Do you have a personal or professional motto?

I have a couple: ‘A goal without a plan is just a wish,’ and ‘Measure twice, cut once.’ I always encourage clients to first paint the picture of the life they want, and then we create a plan together to meet their vision. Money and investments are tools we can use to help create the lives we wish to live. Planning first allows us to use the right financial tools to successfully accomplish different objectives.

What business book would you recommend to clients?

I would start them off with reading ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki. The book highlights the importance of financial literacy and financial independence in a motivating way. It’s a great book to get in the right mindset toward investing and wealth creation. Another book I’d recommend is ‘The Road Less Traveled’ by M. Scott Peck, which explores how to become one’s own true self. Powerful stuff.

What is your favorite outside-of-work activity?

Spending time with family and friends. Also, anything to do with music, but especially playing acoustic guitar. I love Blues and Classic Rock – Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Led Zeppelin are all favorites.
